Nervous-system regulation, deep rest & gentle spiritual nourishment

Yoga Nidra & Sound Bath (Abergavenny)
These sessions are for the part of you that is tired of holding, managing, coping and pushing —
and longs for a space where you can simply rest, feel, soften, and remember yourself again.
Nidra & Sound is where the body settles, the breath deepens, and the soul is invited back through safety rather than force.
This is not therapy.
This is not performance.
This is co-regulation, ritual and rest held with psychological awareness and heartfelt presence.
“It’s like my body remembered something ancient —
like it knew how to feel safe again.”
What These Sessions Offer
Each session is a carefully held blend of:
- sound-based nervous-system regulation
- Yoga Nidra–informed deep rest
- breath awareness and gentle embodiment
- intentional, ceremonial atmosphere
- symbolic & seasonal reflection
You are not asked to “release”, “heal”, or “process”.
Your system is simply given the conditions it needs to return to balance.
Rest itself becomes the medicine.

Why Sound Works
Sound and vibration communicate directly with the nervous system.
They:
- slow brainwave activity
- support vagal tone
- reduce stress-based holding
- invite the body out of survival mode
- create a felt sense of safety and spaciousness
Over time, many people notice:
- deeper sleep
- emotional softening
- reduced anxiety
- more stable energy
- a stronger sense of connection to self

Yin & Sound Ritual
A practice of surrender, nourishment, and deep restoration
Yin is less about doing and more about receiving.
In this 2-hour Yin & Sound Ritual, we work with gravity, stillness, breath, and sound to invite the body into deep surrender. Rather than strengthening muscles or pushing into effort, Yin uses body weight and time to gently create space between bones, allowing the connective tissue — the fascia — to lengthen, hydrate, and soften.
Fascia does not respond to force.
It responds to stillness, sinking, and safety.
This practice is an invitation to let go:
- Let the body be held
- Let the breath arrive on its own
- Let sound move through you
As you rest in long-held Yin shapes, healing sound enters the “water” of the body — tuning the organs, nervous system, and cells back into coherence. Tibetan singing bowls, gong, drum, voice, flute, and subtle rhythm work together to create a state similar to deep, restorative sleep.
This is why, when the ritual ends, many people feel as though they’ve rested for hours.
Each class is shaped by the theme of the day and may include:
- Gentle breathing practices
- Mantra or vocal toning
- Mudra
- A simple tea ritual to support grounding and integration
This space is for anyone longing to soften, to be held, and to remember what it feels like when nothing is required of you.
You don’t need to achieve anything here.
You only need to arrive.

What a Typical Session Is Like
Each session unfolds in a gentle arc:
- arrival & settling
- short orientation to the body & breath
- active sound journey with bowls, voice & vibration
- extended stillness
- soft re-emergence & grounding
You rest fully clothed, supported with blankets and bolsters.
You are free to move, sit up, or step outside at any point.
This is your nervous system’s pace, always.

Who These Sessions Are For
Nidra, Sound, and Yin are especially supportive if you:
- live with chronic stress or emotional fatigue
- feel constantly “on” or braced
- struggle to switch off mentally
- are drawn to holistic or spiritual ways of being
- crave connection without emotional demand
- want rest without needing to explain yourself
You do not need prior experience.
You only need a willingness to lie down and receive.

Important Boundaries
Group sound work is:
- for nervous-system regulation
- emotional maintenance
- spiritual nourishment
- preventative care
It is not a substitute for therapy, medical treatment or crisis support.
If deep material surfaces, I encourage individual therapeutic support alongside group work.
This keeps the space safe for everyone.
